Sierra Schmeltzer is a professional flutist, piccoloist, and teacher based in Los Angeles, CA.
Sierra Schmeltzer specializes in orchestral classical music and studio recording.
She currently holds the piccolo/flute III chair with the Boise Philharmonic in Boise, ID, and serves as Principal Flute of the Bozeman Symphony. Sierra offers private flute and piccolo instruction in Los Angeles, CA, both in person and online. She earned a Graduate Certificate in Flute Performance from the University of Southern California in Spring 2022, following her Master’s degree in Flute Performance in Spring 2020 under the tutelage of her mentor Jim Walker.

“My mission is to provide each student with an in-depth musical education through high-quality private flute and piccolo lessons, focusing on strong technique, expressive musicality, and healthy sound production. I am dedicated to creating a positive, supportive, and motivating learning environment where students of all levels can grow as confident musicians and performers. My goal is for every student to develop a lasting love and appreciation for music—whether they pursue professional flute performance, advanced music studies, or enjoy playing as a lifelong hobby.”
