Sierra Schmeltzer is a professional flutist, piccoloist, and teacher based in Los Angeles, CA.

Sierra Schmeltzer specializes in orchestral classical music and studio recording.

She is currently the piccolo/flute III chair in the Boise Philharmonic in Boise, ID, as well as the principal flute of the American Youth Symphony. Sierra maintains a private flute studio in downtown Los Angeles. Sierra graduated from the University of Southern California in spring of 2022 with a graduate certificate in flute performance, and in spring of 2020 with a masters in flute performance under the tutelage of Jim Walker. Sierra is available for performance and recording work.

“My mission is to provide each student with an in-depth musical knowledge of technique, musicality, and sound creation. I believe in fostering a positive and motivating atmosphere for students to learn and thrive. My goal is for each of my students to come away with a love and appreciation for music, whether they decide to continue professionally or as a hobby.”
